On January 24, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Meder Abakirov held a meeting with the Ambassador of the European Union to the Kyrgyz Republic Marilyn Josephson, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported, Trend reports.
According to the information, during the conversation, current issues and prospects for bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the EU were discussed, as well as plans for the implementation of joint projects in the near future.
It is reported that Meder Abakirov emphasized the importance of interaction with the European Union, expressing Kyrgyzstan's readiness to develop cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
Marilyn Josephson, in turn, expressed confidence in the further strengthening of the partnership, noting the key role of the Kyrgyz Republic in the EU’s relations with Central Asia.
Both sides agreed to continue active dialogue and work on initiatives aimed at the prosperity and development of the region.
